I strive to work with each client to determine the best course of action based on their needs, requirement and wants.

If a project or client requres massive amounts of interaction, on screen movement and special affects, then I build it to fit the project to get best return on your investment.

If all you need is a basic web presence, then I can do that too.

There is no design for desisgn's sake.

My typical web design process begins with a Q&A session. I try to find out what you want your web site or project to deliver to you. Are you selling a product? Are you trying to get your information out to as many people as possible? Are you trying to break into a new market?

Then I determine what your average user looks like. Based on that information, I can determine some basic features that work well for your users. Of course, I build sites to accommodate as many users as possible, incorporating browser, OS and accessibility testing in every design.

From there, I can create a wireframe. Wireframes allow the client and me to determine the areas on your web pages that will contain your content. See a sample here.

After that I create up to three design concepts based on those wireframes.

From there, the client and I make tweaks and changes, or completely start over if I missed the mark. I like to limit change requests to three rounds (I like to work in sets of threes, can you tell?) and then I build out a working demo of the site on my server.

After some beta and Quality Assurance testing, I prepare for an alpha launch in the production environment (the server where the site will live permanently). The client and I do some more testing to make sure everything is in order, and when we're all in agreement to go live - the site goes lives.

Of course, that doesn't always mean we're done - I don't consider the project complete until the client is completely satisfied. Once you're satisfied - we're done and you have your own web site that you maintain.
